My husband made chicken parm on Sunday night. We are going to eat it again tonight.
I think there will be 2 more individual servings left after tonight's portions are removed from the baking dish. (Heated directly on our plates, not that it matters.)
Tonight was the last night I would feel comfortable eating leftover homeamde chicken parm from Sunday. So that has me questioning if we can safely freeze the last of what's leftover tonight?
Great, thanks. We defrost things like this in the microwave and then set a formal heat setting once it's softened up a bit to begin cooking. So it would be eaten immediately upon being removed from the freezer.
I don't think there's a safety issue, but it might not be as pleasant to eat once it's thawed and reheated as if you had frozen it, say, the day after it was made. But since the extent of your risk is soggy breading or rubbery cheese, you might as well give it a shot.
And now I know what I'm making for dinner, so thank you for that. lol.
