What are you decorating for next?

What do you have going on with seasonal decor at your house right now?  Will you decorate for valentine's or what will be your next change?  PIP if you have them.


For me, I just have up some snowflake stuff for winter and some silver candles.  I put up a big black and white picture of our dog in the snow for winter.

I put a heart door hanging on the main door.  It's nice and not overly cute.

My next change up will be for spring stuff probably at the end of April.

I have Valentine's stuff up but I haven't shared because I think it's too Pintrest-y / blog like for this crowd LOL

Next up will just be putting my spring wreath back up. And I really need to touch up paint our front door. The magnet hook we've been using is ummm, really really attached to the door now and I'm afraid to see what it looks like when I pry it off.

After Valentine's I'm going to do Saint Patrick's Day because I have lots of shamrock stuff. I'll skip Easter since it's so close. Then I'm doing lots of Indy 500 stuff since we are having 10 people in town for the Mini.

I only decorate for Christmas. We will be doing a tiny bit of Birthday decorating in April for my daughter's 2nd birthday party but that will only be up for a day.

I might do a weeny bit of Easter decor, but usually Christmas is it for me.

Probably Spring and that won't be for awhile, so I am taking this time to just work on our house, in general. It's a small place and I am trying to get each space to be used to it's best ability. Does that make sense? Like, we have a hall closet right by the kitchen. I'd like to turn half of it into a nice pantry and get rid of the sliding doors and put regular open out doors.

I have no idea. Obviously we're not decorating the little house at the moment because we're going to be moving soon. As regards the new house, I'm not entirely sure what we'll be decorating for. I guess a lot depends on when exactly we move in (probably end of February) and what our first hosted party is (possibly April?). I might try for some variety of springtime wreath or swag on the door.

I haven't decorated yet. I really need to order a mantel for our fireplace, since it doesn't have one, but I was waiting for us to be closer to tax refund and I'm still one W-2 short.

I might run to TJMaxx for Valentine's decor. We're hosting a neighborhood party on the 9th, so I think it would be nice.

I'm pretty chill about the party, especially considering it's the neighborhood's chance to see what we've done with the house since buying.

I usually decorate for Easter/spring. I need to buy more stuff (music to DH's ears...)

Beyond Christmas I don't really do seasonal stuff unless we are having a party. DDs birthday is in the beginning of March. We might do a dance party theme and get a disco ball!

this is about all I'll be doing until March when I'll do spring/easter.

For these "smaller" holidays, I usually just change out the hand towels that I hang on our oven for Valentine's and St. Patrick's until Easter. I'll add a few more things Easter specific and also for Spring/Summer. I still have no where near as much for Spring as I do for Fall/Thanksgiving and Christmas, though.
