Can you help me setup a small living room area?

Any help would be great - I have been on the hunt for two months with no luck - So i have a long living room - to the left of the picture is a huge black leather sectional - with TV on wall and a cream shag rug. I wanted to put a "sitting area" in front of the fireplace but cannot find seats i like - I am def more contemporary...and didnt want it too blah - anyone want to help
