Warning these are BOTH possible TMI.
Whine: My doctor said I have to come into the office for this stupid UTI. Why? I'm kind of pissed about this, randomly. It's a UTI. I've had them before. Unless I've somehow contracted gonorrhea, it's pretty hard to mistake for ANYTHING else. Urrrrrrgh. Also, the file said "no antibiotics for acute illness". What? Is there some non-antibiotic way to treat UTIs now? WTH is going ON? Yuck, I don't WANT toooooooooo. /whine
Random: I'm taking AZO Standard for pain relief (see whine) and ... WHOA. It's like those fluorescent drops they put in your eyes at the optometrist ... only for pee! Seriously, if I have to be miserable, I guess it's a good thing I get to giggle every time I go to the bathroom.
1. On the subject of TMI: If you were out of work with the stomach flu, please, just saying you have the stomach flu or a gastro bug is more than enough information. There is no need to tell anyone that it involved both vomiting and diarrhea. I have heard the same person give this information out 3 times this morning, including to me.
2. I have had a gross cold for a week now. It's not going away and I'm starting to get crabby about it.
3. This baby is still nameless. One of my friends said yesterday, "Hey, it could come in 3 or 4 weeks!" Yeah, let's hope not. I am so not ready.
I usually take the super awesome heavy strength AZO, because...well I don't have a reason but extra strength is always better right? Just a heads up, don't wear your nice underwear because no matter how much wiping you do you will end up with bright orange spots in your underwear.
I would also find a new doctor if they didn't give me a Rx for a UTI.
Tuesday morning, everything was fine. By midmorning, I was sprouting cold sores. Today, my lip is swollen and my face hurts. It's infected, isn't it? I'll visit a clinic tonight.
I was also supposed to submit a proposal for an assignment yesterday. That never happened. My mind is blank!
sorry for all the misery above. I have good news! The idiot drunk driver who crashed into my brother last year finally had his trial and was convicted of felony assault, DUI and a bunch of other stuff. I'm so glad that he's going to face the consequences of his actions! Sentencing will be in 90 days.
in other news I have to apply for a new job today and I need job dust and cover letter writing dust too.
also, I'm sitting at a cafe because I thought it would be a nice break and I bought a huge salad which will take me forever to eat and now the guy sitting ACROSS the room from me smells so bad I want to leave.

Update! I got a call from the office. Apparently my doctor's general policy is just to never call in antibiotics, due to the potential for people to be all "ugh, I have a cold, I need antibiotics." He requires an office visit. *sigh* DUDE, we have a high deductible plan. I don't want to pay for your fancy vacation. Urgh.
Weird. I thought I was coming down with the same thing last night and ran to the hospital for ABs (which they did call in). I don't like taking ABs at all, especially the Cipro they gave me, so I decided to try Azo and an Epsom salt bath. I feel almost 100% today without meds, so maybe it helped (or maybe that's not what my problem was)? Anyway, maybe try a nice hot salty bath until you can hit the doc.
Former Senator Lugar is going to join the faculty of the IU School of Global and International Studies! Yay! I know this means nothing to most of you, but this is a random thread.

I finally finished my salad, but the smell was so bad that I don't think I will want to eat there soon or possibly ever. I did overhear the man telling someone that he's been living in a tent for the past 10 years, so at least that explains why he smells that way.

I hung "wall art" today at work. I think it looks awkward and not quite right but my boss asked me to do it in this specific manner. Also she has been gone since 11 am but called about 30 minutes ago and said she'd let me leave when she got back. So I can't complain there!
I applied for a job 2 weeks ago and I still haven't heard anything. I have a friend who is doing the hiring so I know it's not a "you didn't get an interview" situation.

What is it with some people? My dental hygienist told me that she got the stomach bug at someone's house and "projectile" vomited in their bathroom. WHY ON EARTH are you telling me this before you clean my teeth? I get that we were having a conversation about the sicknesses and flu going around, but...
I have a coworker her overshares info about her bodily functions all.the.time. Nasty. If she isn't talking about it, though, one can generally smell it.

Oh, gross.
My dental hygienist also has no boundaries. Last time I was there for a cleaning, she detailed her weight gain for each pregnancy (60# and 70#) and told me all about her vaginal tearing and # of stitches required for #2, because he was 3 weeks later than #1.

Our cell phones didn't work for most of the day. It was so weird to not get text or phone calls. I felt really out of the loop. Plus it's really cold so I was soo afraid my car would be stupid today.
