Another Log In Problem thread

Hi, Ellie.
I can't log in on the GBCN boards.

In general, I can log in. I registered with my email during the test board, and when I log in, I can see both "Guest" and "ThirdandLong" after the initial log in screen. However, when I click on any of the GBCN boards (except the Help boards) it doesn't recognize that I've logged in. If I try to post or reply in a thread, it tells me to register or log in. If I try to re-log in, it says I'm already logged in. But then when I click on 'Married Life' or whichever board, it shows me as Guest again with the Login and Register options. It's a neverending cycle.

Is it hopeless?

Just to be clear, you are clicking thirdandlong on the screen where you see both it and guest, right?

Your account may need to be reset. That has solved the problem for a few people. I think that's something the proboards admin have to do - Patrick?

Yes, I was clicking the 'ThirdandLong' selection after the inital log in.

However, several minutes after making this post, I was able to select the Married Life board, view a post, and make a reply. I don't know what the original problem was, but it seems to be resolved. Thank you for your help. Sorry to be a bother.

I'm glad to see the problem has gone away for you. However, I want to make sure that it won't happen again. Could you answer a couple questions for me?

1. What browser are you using?

2. When you saw that you were not logged in, did you use your browser's back button? How exactly did you try to re-login again?
