How do I help a 18month old understand dthat she needs to sleep and cant just CRY and SCREAM all the time ALL. THE . TIME
I know she is prolly getting teeth and it hurts and I have done tablets, meds, and the like.... but I feel its beyond the teeth? Can she have ear infection with out secondary issues cold cough snot ? ( i doubt it is that but I am reaching )
i am being pushed to my limits and quite frankly I LOVE HER but she is really fucking annoying me right now!
I feel bad for saying that and feeling this way ...
I would have her checked out by the pedi. They can have ear infections, strep etc. without other symptoms. The bleeding you mentioned may be common but I have never seen that in any of my 3 kids. It couldn't hurt to rule things out.
I hope you get some answers and rest soon. Poor baby really sounds like she is suffering. That is so hard on a mamas heart.
Boo. I am sorry things are so rough for you and her.
I agree that a visit to the pediatrician is probably in order to rule out ear infection/strep/etc.
And like Duchess, I've suffered through 2 entire sets of teeth coming in, and neither kid had a bloody mouth (now when those lovely teeth fall out in 6y....)
Both of my kids were craptastic teethers and we dosed them with Motin nightly for a couple of months when those molars were coming in. But if that isn't touching it, I'd look at other culprits.

well we did take L to the Dr and cleared her - said she has a bad cold ( which she/ they did and are over now ) but said her ears were amazing and he could tell she never had an ear infection - WE did not take S .. so I guess we should. But being surrounded by ear infection family and friends I NEVER seen a ear infection with out secondary issues.

I would take S in. If nothing but for your peace of mind to know there is not something else going on. ((Hugs)) I hope all of you get some quiet, pain-free sleep soon!

Our kids have had ear infections without "colds/coughs/snot" many times. And the only blood we've seen on pillows or sheets has come from their ears. We also never had blood with teeth.

they have their 18 mo check up on Friday I am just waiting till then. The blood has lessen and they are eating a bit more. It clearly is from their mouth and I would be more worried if only one had it but both of them do and I can visibly see its coming from their mouth and my education has served me well because its is consistent with blood stain patterns on their bed/face to match. I spoke with my cousin who is a pediatrician but lives in anther state .. he said only be concerned if there is bruising easily and blood from nose or any other orifice he also said that the K9 have the longest decent and could break capillaries in their decent and its not totally unusual and is the most painful of the teething process.
We are nto out of the woods the cranky has subsided the clingy seems to be on its way out - the sleeping issue for S is still going strong ( wonder if its night terrors) anyone have experience with this symptoms or any tips suggestions. She just wakes up screaming crying often OFTEN. Then M and I argue cuz we are both just so tired and M just brings her in the bed with us and then she is fine.

Carl had night terrors from about 18months-3years. Does she acknowledge your presence when you are in the room consoling her at night? Carl did not. He would fuss/scream/thrash and has no idea we were there. This is a night terror. We dealt with them for a long time. I had them as a kid and if she's having them there is nothing you can do in the moment.
We did find that adjusting Carl's bed time helped. He (at the time) was going down at 8 and we moved his bed time to 7:30 and it helped greatly. If he started experiencing them again we just adjusted bedtime until they stopped. Plenty of rest is key to helping them.
Yes as soon as one of us walks in the room she lays down and stops fussing.
If she's settling down as soon as you walk in it probably isn't an ear infection etc.
What's her sleep schedule like?
I did not know you had twin girls... Our girls are the same age also.
Our kids sleep all the time. They are still on the NICU schedule and we try to change it and dont force them to go but they ask but this is the kind of new schedule they are having 9 seems they dropped a nap finally )
They go to sleep at 8PM Up next day at 8AM (typically they wake 7:15 but play together for the remainder and start calling us at 8 same room diff cribs next to eachother) breakfast at 8:15 then milk and play time till 9:30-10 (depending)
they nap till either 12 or 2 ( i know I know - Depending on time they go down) some times they are just chatting and chillingh and sometimes they actually sleep.
At 2 its Lunch then they play till 4 and they take a nap/rest till 5:30 ish
6:00 pm is dinner and then play Bathtime 7:15 Milk Bed at 8
