Yup. I agree.

I work on a graduate campus downtown and I see women wearing this look ALL the time.

I wear them and will continue to wear them. It's easy, and I don't have to think about what I'm going to wear. Most importantly, it helps me ignore all of the weight I've gained that I need to lose.

I mostly do a dress and boots. I do have skinny jeans, but need more longer tops to wear them on a regular basis.

Jeans or leggings tucked into boots is still very common still in downtown Manhattan (and my neighborhood is filled with absurdly fashionable people).  And I'm glad, because it is my favorite way to protect my legs from the cold!

It has never been common here with work pants though.

I live in a college town, and probably 90% of the college girls I see are wearing either skinny jeans with boots or leggings with boots. I'd say it's definitely still fashionable.

i work in a neighborhood voted #1 hipster neighborhood by a few rankings. i still see lots of people rocking this. so it's still hip even for the anti-fashion fashionable set.

I'm guessing 80% of the women/girls I saw at an event today were wearing boots and leggings/jeans. Myself included.

I don't own skinny jeans but I think the look is about the same.
