Second night in a row that my dog peed on my couch while I was dealing with a toddler tantrum.
So now, I'm going to enforce the no dogs on the couch rule that we've never had in the 10 years I've had them. And, until it gets warmer out and they can spend time outside in our fenced yard, they will probably only be out of the crate for meals.
I don't know what else to do. I can't discipline a dog as I'm practically waterboarding my toddler (giving a bath during a tantrum).

My dog has incontinence issues. She wears a diaper. It's a cloth dog diaper and I just regular period pads in as liners. They are about 20-40 dollars at pet stores depending on the size.

My dog has been peeing on our rug all the time. It is so annoying. We keep him locked in a room while the baby is awake and then we have to take him for a walk the second we let him out of the room so he doesn't pee. It sucks.
Water bottle. Our rescue was trained on the squirt bottle prior to moving in with us. He runs just when I pick it up. I never have to squirt it. He loves water too but hates the bottle.
Have you been in for a vet visit to rule out UTI? My cat was inappropriately urinating on our bed. I was a my wit's end . Took her to the vet and apparently she gets stress-induced UTIs. I think something similar can happen to dogs. My cat is on special urinary food that keeps the pH in check and aids in the elimination of struvite crystals.
It could also be behavioral and the vet can give meds for that too!!!
I'm sorry.........before kids, our 80lb dog slept in bed with us. We moved him to the one spot on the couch where we put down a blanket when I found out I was pregnant with DD#1. One month before DD#2 arrived, I kicked him off the couch, all it took was moving his blanket onto his new GIANT dog bed in our bedroom. He transitioned well. Good luck, dog problems are sooooo annoying now with having LO's around.....it was different pre-kids.
