i just downloaded the groupon app and logged in. first deal that pops up if for our one of our favorite mexican places. i logged in on my computer to check something else, but i can't find the mexican deal anywhere. it's not in any of the three cities it could be listed under and it turns up no results on the search.
has anyone found a similar discrepancy before? if i try to buy it through my phone will i actually get the deal?

You will diffidently get the deal if you use your phone as long as it is set to the right location. Is your favorite place a chain? Sometimes mine gets my location mixed up and it shows deals from somewhere else. As long as its diffidently the same restaurant, you should be fine. Did you make sure to look at the section "All Deals" when you got on the computer? Sometimes things get mis-categorized so instead of under "food and drink" it might be under like "things to do". Does that make sense?
thanks! i finally found it under a really broad category that doesn't make sense, but whatev. i'm just excited to find new things!
i've never really used groupon before, but my friends keep mentioning good deals in our area and we eat out at least twice a week when we're out of the house 14+ hours in a day. i'm hoping it saves us a few dollars or at least gets us to eat at different places for the same amount of money (we usually spend $12-15 at our favorite cheaper places).
I pink puffy heart groupon. DH and I like to try local restaurants all the time and we often plan our date nights around groupon deals. On Saturday night we shared an app, each had our own dinner and a craft beer, and it was less than $30 (plus tip). We live near DC so that is a rarity for us.
ETA: plus we almost always have leftovers too . Enjoy!
