My 2 year old DD loves cleaning! This past week we bought her her own broom because she is always trying to use mine and with the long handle she has a tendancy to hit things. She loves sweeping! And now she has this habit of wanting to wash down the front of the dishwasher and fridge whenever I'm washing dishes. It's fantastic! I know someday she'll change but for now I'm taking advantage of it by having her put her dirty clothes away, her shoes away, toys, etc. She thinks it is fun!
My DD is the same way! She loves cleaning the toilets, lol. She even likes yard work. We got mulch delivered this past weekend and she was out there with us shoveling mulch into the wheelbarrow. Thank goodness for kid size tools! I know it won't last forever but I'm enjoying it for now.

That's great that she enjoys yard work so much. I just started having DD help me water the plants on our porch. And by help I mean - she puts her hand on the watering can as I pour - but she enjoys it.
Isn't it so helpful to have your child enjoy "chores"? I can get so much more done when she is willing to tag along and help out vs. having to watch her or entertain her doing something else.
This is great! Definitely encourage it because it will help create good habits.
My DD used to scrub our laundry room floor clean, LOL.
My son is now really into gardening with Daddy. I am encouraging this because I think it's a good bonding experience, as well as a good learning experience. He enjoys hearing about the different plants, watching how seeds grow, etc..
Both of my kids likes being "helpers" at that age. Take full advantage - let them dust, sweep, vacuum and put things away, set the table and clear the table. Teach them to take care of their rooms - it will pay off!
