If a realtor came out to price your house

What did you to prepare? I plan on cleaning, but not crazy like I will when it is listed (we will prob have a service come in weekly then).  What about clutter? We plan on getting a storage unit when the house is listed, but not now. Are REA able to see past things like that? Thanks!!

I think REA will. They can probably give you tips on which furniture to remove even.

Yes, most REAs will, but he/she will probably walk room to room pointing out things to be done.

Thanks so much everyone. We aren't even sure if we are selling. We just want to know if we are even at what we paid. Ugh.

I think we made a list of things we were still working on, a list of things we had done and told them we were in the process of decluttering. I didn't worry about having everything spotless until they came to take pictures. I mean, no garbage on the ground, but it was daily tidy.

She's coming on Friday. Yikes! I am really worried she is going to say our house is worth less then we paid.

We just tidied up, and as we went through the house we pointed out things we were planning to take out or do in the rooms, and she gave us feedback on what of that stuff to go ahead with and what wasn't worth it, as well as some additional feedback. I think in the timing, we had already moved some stuff to storage because we had thought about listing a few months earlier and had changed our minds about when we wanted to.

if you're not even sure if you're selling then I think just a general clean up is fine. We knew it was being sold no matter what and I was on maternity leave so I took about a month and cleaned/ purged/ took stuff to storage unit before she even came. then she still had me take more stuff out!
