My ute is currently vacant and I am planning on it staying vacant for a couple of more years. Our first two kids are 25 months apart and I'd like a little more distance between # 2 and #3.
My ute is not now, nor is it likely to become, occupied. We are, however, in the process of adopting an infant. No clue when that'll be happening, but we're working on our home study materials now, so hopefully within the next year or so.
Same here! We're in the gathering dossier documents process of our adoption. We started the process 10 months ago. Best wishes with the home study!

This! However, we have four beautiful kids who we were blessed with through adoption.
I'm so excited for you, Gnome! I can't wait until you get a placement.
Thanks, we're super excited, too! We just scheduled our physical, and we just have a few things to do around the house before taking pictures - then we'll send in all the documents, etc. and be able to schedule our seminar and home study interviews.

That's sort of what we're doing now - we've done copies of all our personal documents, answered our home study questionnaire, and now we're just waiting on physicals and to take a few photos around the house before we'll submit everything - we're doing domestic adoption, so I don't think it's quite as involved as the dossier process.
We decided to adopt in November of 2011, and submitted our initial application to the agency earlier this month - we've been saving $ and reading for the last year, so it feels good to have some forward momentum finally.
gnome - that's great! yes, we're adopting internationally and the process is very elaborate But, we're excited and in the meantime have a house to remodel...so that will keep our minds busy!
ETA: Oh shit. I just checked the WTE app (which is where I get my fruits) and apparently watermelon is now.
No wonder I feel like a whale.
Holy crap. What comes after watermelon? I have to say, yours is the best baby ticker I've seen.
LOL, I'm glad you like it. I stole the idea off one of the C&PE regs.
Honestly, I'm not sure which fruit comes next. There are half a dozen different fruit to baby lists out there, and some of them contradict each other so i decided at the beginning to just use whatever the WTE app tells me. But I don't actually have a smart phone - I installed the app on MH's phone. So every week I have to steal his phone and check. It's always a surprise.
My ute is occupied and the inhabitant should be evicted sometime in mid May. Technically she's due the 13th but I figure she'll come when she's good and ready. Mine was timed - I'm a teacher and we get out at the end of June, so I'll have May-August at home (we go back the day after labor day). DH was not impressed with my strict timeline though
I'm impressed with the swimmers. I'm still running but SLOW. Trying to decide whether or not I'm doing a half marathon next month at 29 weeks. I know if I do it it'll be the slowest I ever did and pretty much just doing it so everyone can point and laugh at the pregnant lady.
9 weeks left occupied! Maybe less because he's a fatty and 79th percentile for weight!
Ha, I'll see your 79th percentile and raise you a head that's in the 96th percentile! Yes, my womb renter has a head that measures three weeks ahead. I'm super excited about that, lemme tell you.
March 15th is my due date, 6.5 weeks to go!
Ah! How are you doing?! Feeling the pressure? I'm worried he's heavier because he has a big head - my husband can't wear regular sports caps because his head is too big.

I feel whale-ish. He's still sitting really high though, so no pressure yet. But I'm enormous and my coworkers seem to pity me.
