All Inclusive: recos?

H and I went to Excellence Playa Mujeres on our honeymoon last year and it was amazing. We would like to go on another AI vacation but can't decide where to go. We are thinking about September or October and would like to go for 4-6 nights. We are traveling from the Boston area.

I think it may be too soon to go back to EPM but I worry that other places won't be as great. Any suggestions?

We honeymooned at Secrets Maroma Beach in 2009 and loved everything about it. I highly recommend it!

How is the food at Secrets Maroma? We are thinking of doing a quick AI for our 5 year anniversary this year.

We thought the food was very good. It was probably the best food we've had at an A/I, and we've been to 3-4. The hibachi table was our favorite.

I've been to one all inclusive so far - Riu Emerald Bay in Mazatlan, Mexico. It was actually really really nice. The property was amazing, and the beach was nice too. It was a little cold for my taste (we went in Feb), but I had a blast. I'm going to the Iberostar Bavaro in Dominican Republic in a few weeks, so I'll let you know how that one is!

I love the grand palladiumkantenah in the Mayan riviera. Amazing food. It is a massive resort - we loved that but it's not for e everyone!

If you're looking in that area we loved the Royal in Cancun. Also loved pueblo bonito Pacifica in cabo.
