Just H and I chowing down on Crab(Maryland Blue Crab)Chowder served in sourdough bread bowls!(Bread has been shipped from San Fran) I do this type of thing every year. I try to make something for dinner that is specific to the city the two teams are from. Yes, some cities are a bitch.
LET'S GO 49ers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is about time they get a 6th ring!
I guess we are rooting for 49ers since DH hates the Ravens. Although sometimes he is not even interested if the Steelers aren't in it. We don't have any plans. I mentioned in passing to one of his friends that he could come over, but who knows.
Lots of food. Sugar cookies, cupcakes, pizza, wings, chips, dip and some veggies.
One of the H's friends might be coming over. It was mentioned, in passing.
I was planning on rooting for the 49ers, because they've sucked for so long. They deserve a ring. H is rooting for the Ravens.
Minus the them having sucked for so long, that sounds like my house. I have been a 49ers fan since I was little. Love Joe Montana! And since H is a HUGE Baltimore Orioles fan,he has decided to keep his allegiance to the City of Baltimore.
And insert all kinds of ackwardness during the NFC title game the other week. I was watching the game with my dad, who is a die hard Falcons fan. I almost felt bad being as excited and happy as I was.
I have to admit, I was a little sad about the Falcons loss. There are a lot of people on that team that have been around for a loong time with few big wins to show for it. And they had such a great season.

I'm headed to a friend's house to watch the game and chow down on nachos with homemeade chilli and stuff. We're putting together a big ol' build-your-own-nachos bar! I may be more excited about the nachos than the game...
I usually find out who everyone else is cheering for and then root for the opposite just for fun. But I'm not sure I can root for Chris Culliver, so I hope everyone wants the 49ers to win.
I don't know who is playing! I have plans to go to a movie with my friend who also doesn't give a hoot.
Thor is working. I am sad that it cuts into our weekend, but I'm delighted, b/c that means I'm off the hook for the World's Most Boring Superbowl party that his friend always hosts.

Never feel bad! H is a Jets fan and I'm a Steelers fan, so we are usually rooting against each other. A little rivalry never hurt anyone.

Actually, I'm sure that last sentance is a lie.
I was trying to keep my gloating and bragging in check. And when we were watching the Ravens/Pats game, and they mentioned who won the other game I would do a happy dance and my dad just looked at me. I responded with, "What? I didn't say anything!" LOL We did have fun though!

I have been loath to support the 49ers ever since they crushed my beloved Bengals (the first time) in Super Bowl XVI -- yes, really. But I suppose I'd rather they win than the Ravens, because we do LOVE parades in San Francisco.
However, more than anything I dislike football, and so we will not be watching the game. Might be a good day for an ikea trip if lots of people will be home watching.

The Bengals? Really?
Bully- He's a drink pusher too. You two will get along just fine.
I'm still trying to decide between two different Superbowl parties. One is with former coworkers and is about a 20 - 25 min drive away. This one will likely be lots of fun. The other is hosted by a current coworker (the one who got me my job) and will have other current coworkers there. This one may be less fun, depending on how the 49ers do, because the host is a HUGE fan. This party is about as far away as the other.
