It's raining, there are no MOMS club events today and I can't think of anything that I need from target. Where are your go to places when you have cabin fever?
Sometimes I just stroll stores if DS is up for that. The pet store is a fave because you can check out fish, lizards, hamsters, etc. That usually entertains him for awhile. Museums are always a rainy day option, but they are usually pretty crowded. If all else fails, we go to the grocery store.
When I was home we went to the mall playground (there was one perfect for his crawling/barely walking phase), the library (bonus if it was story time for toddlers day), the grocery store, the thrift store.
I am not a SAHM, but on my days off I always try to have something planned. If it is raining, our options are usually Barnes and Nobles (either just to look around or for story time), the library, our mall (they have a huge free play land), or to a local church that has an indoor play ground.

I'm not a SAHM, but DH works on the weekend, so I feel like a weekend-SAHM.
Around our area there are a few coffee shops that are kid-friendly, with little play areas. DD loves going there. The library is another stop be make often. They have cute little pillow sitting areas and puzzles/toys/etc. Do you know if there's anything like that area your area? I've also found that a lot of kid bookstores are great and understanding about kids' need for entertainment.

When the weather is shitty, children's museum, indoor pool, mall, Mcdonald's playplace, kids gym, pet store, library, out to lunch, kids friendly coffee shop, etc.
We have Early years centre that are sponsored by the government. They have circle time, toys, other kids. But I walk everywhere, so we are in all day today. I dont feel like getting wet. Unless she starts to drive me crazy by 4pm.
My DD is older, but sometimes we go to Chic Fil A for lunch and she plays in the playground. Also we have a local mall with a carrousel that she loves. We'll meet my sister for lunch too.
If you belong to Gymboree they have open gym that we have hit up. There's also the library.
I can't stay in every time in rains, because that would be about 8 months of the year (lol!). I just pull on my rainboots and rain coat and cover the stroller with the rain cover and carry on with my walks.
Indoor play areas, children's museum, science center, library, the gym
It's raining here too but somehow I got lucky and both kids feel asleep in the car on the way home from school. With any luck, they'll be down for a while

Library, as the kids room is separate, so they can be fairly loud without bothering anyone.
There is a church with a free indoor climbing thing open in the mornings. They are not pushy about religion so we go there.
Rain walks. Kids love this. Well worth the price of rain suits from REI.
Mall playground, before the stores open so it isnt as busy. Then just let them run/walk around the mall.
There is a bounce house place we have been meaning to go to, and a playground (Rainbow I think?) showroom/sales place that you can just let your kids go play on their playsets during certain hours.
There are a few museums and nature centers that we go to.
Mall play areas, story time at the mall or library (sometimes there is a magician or something instead at the mall), indoor play place with swings and inflatables, just general shopping at target or the mall, Iowa (browse the kids stuff and get a snack or lunch, one of our libraries also has a huge play area thing with stores and a movie theater, construction site, etc. . . The aquarium is also good but ours doesn't allow strollers and it is too much for me alone with two kids and no stroller.

Coffee shop, museum of science, aquarium, or children's museum. We have several parks close by so as long as it's not pouring all day we work it in, even if it's for 30 minutes.
I belong to a gym with a child care center. DD loves going there, so that occupies several mornings per week. We also go to the library once every couple weeks.
Also, this is really weird, but sometimes I bring her to Cabelas. For those of you not living in the sticks, it is this giant hunting/fishing/sporting store. It has a huge freshwater fish aquarium that you can walk through and tons of hunting trophies that people have donated. DD loves seeing the polar bear, the grizzly bear, the elephant, the lions and the zebra... so it's kind of like an indoor zoo of dead animals but she really loves going there. So whatever.
I also started hitting on other SAHM when we were at events. I had two separate groups that did rotating lunches at our houses. A full social calendar made my life much more fun - and it was cheaper and less stress to stay in than go out.
No one ever turned me down once I got up the nerve to actually follow up on "we should do something sometime".
Everyone already recommended my go to activities. I will be the weirdo hitting on the other moms at the park, zoo, aquarium, even IKEA. I have no shame in our new city, lol.
