No thread about this?! I was in tears for this episode. I felt so sorry for her. I'm glad she saw a therapist at the end. Her mother was smothering her so much; it's good her "BIL"/aunt were there for her and so supportive.
I thought it was heartbreaking, especially when she was first admitted to the hospital and found out she had to stay there for over a month Even IBBB couldn't recap it!
I did feel really bad for her and I couldn't imagine what she was going through. I understand her mother was a little much, but she was also grieving since the guy was with her and her family the day he died.
I think Kristina was being a little bratty when she wouldn't want anyone in the room with her when she had he c-section. That was my biggest regret, not having my mom in the room with DS.
I thought her aunt and her husband were very welcoming and seemed that they were super helpful too so I can see why she was so close with them, but I also feel that she treated her mom and her fiance's mom kind of rudely.
This episode was SO SAD!!!! I think I shed a tear or two when she broke down in the hospital bed and could barely talk she was crying so hard... she just kept saying she wanted her fiance there... so sad. And I really felt for her mother, who clearly blames it all on herself.

You didn't have your mom, why do you think she was bratty to not have hers? She was clearly depressed and very much affected by the death of the baby's father - and depressed people retreat into themselves. I think you're being too harsh.

I am not meaning to be harsh--I was being bratty when I didn't let my mom in for personal reason I do not need to share on here.
A ton of people very close to me have been depressed and I am sure she was deeply depressed. Who wouldn't be? Her mother had good intentions and I feel that she was directing all of what love she (Kristina) did have toward her Aunt and Uncle and wasn't letting her mother in.
I also think that she did deep down hold the trip against her mom. Again I am only assuming since I did not know her at all. I felt it did show her being completely standoffish toward the mothers.
None of what I said was meant to be harsh or uncaring. Just an observation.
I cried the whole episode as well. I feel so bad for her. She seems like such a strong girl and I am sure her and her finace' would have had such an amazing life together. Their families seem so great (especially his) and supportive. I hope she begins to live life again and enjoy her time with her son.

Gosh, it was so sad.
I was thinking during the episode that this is so similar to what happened to Farrah. I don't know how she managed to never mention it in her 16&Preg episode.
Why is it bratty to not want your mom there? I don't think thats bratty. Its not really about the grandmother.
I worked in grief for a long time. I know they weren't married, but it is very very common for widows/widowers to remarry within a year or so of the death.
I felt so bad for her- she wasn't only dealing with the grief issues, she had to work through her own personal trauma as well, which complicats the issues.

Farrah had a completely different relationship with Derrek (or however you spell it) than Kristina had with Todd. Kristina and Todd seemed to be really in love with each other and wanted to be together, hence the engagement. Farrah cut off contact with Derrek and mentioned in 16 and Pregnant that he was really controlling.
It's hard that Farrah's ex died, but their relationship was different.

I understand that they weren't together. But the father of her child died during her pregnancy. I just don't understand how she wasn't more affected by it during filming, that's all.
Kristina and Todd were out swimming at the beach and it sounded like they got swept out by the tide. Rescuers got to Kristina in time, but they couldn't find Todd. They later found his body on the shore.
Kristina's mother was in charge of the kids that day which is why she blames herself so much for Todd's death.
