Do you do (practice? follow?) it? What do you think you'll do this year? When I went to a youth group for a while in HS, the pastor said that I could add a practice for 40 days/nights, as long as it shows a devotion to a practice.
I have normally given something up but last year I decided to add something that would be beneficial to my health, I floosed my teeth everyday for 40 days. Might sound weird, but I am horrible about flossing.
This year I think I will give up all sweets and chips. I have been really bad with the sweets lately and maybe that can help me to drop a few pounds.
