Alright just want to start by saying I am NOT posting here in lieu of going to the vet. We were at the vet yesterday, she has received medication for intestinal problems but the vet did advise it may take a few days before we see a difference.
Our 8yr old lab mix has been throwing up for a few days now. She turns away from any and all food, but we have to limit water intake as she will drink until she makes herself throw up. She's starting to get pretty weak from the lack of food in her stomach. She will take a syringe of Pedialyte every couple hours and occasionally we can get a syringe of watered down soft food to go down ok without coming back up.
Is there anything else that we can do for her at this point? Thanks

Is there any favorite treats you can use to get her to eat? For one of the old regulars it was Arby's roast beef sandwiches. For us, we can sprinkle some Parmesan cheese on his food. Some use chicken broth.
I know my dog tends to vomit when he hasn't eaten for 24 hours. And with an upset stomach, he's not inclined to eat after, so we often just do what it takes to get him to get back on track with eating.
Does she like real, natural peanut butter? That's pretty energy-dense, smooth, and (at least for our dog) completely irresitable. Maybe that could get her appetite going?

We also "bribe" with peanut butter or yogurt (or sometimes a mix) when our dog gets fussy about eating (usually stubborn and not sick). One time when he was sick, he would also drink way too much too fast. We ended up giving him ice cubes to play with/suck on. He LOVES ice and this got some water into him without making him sick. You could probably freeze the pedialyte. Good luck!
Be aware, the drug for the intestines (flagyl) causes my dog to not eat. See if you can find some frozen tripe at the pet store. Give Pepcid AC or slippery elm half an hour before you try to get your dog to eat, as well.

yogurt mixed with kibble or a mixture of shredded boiled chicken and rice.
i've done puppy formula and yogurt mixed and then soaked kibble with a previous pup that wouldn't eat due to meds on the suggestion of the vet - small amounts each time, adding more as she kept it down.
Have you tried chicken and rice? We gave this to our pup when he had giardia. Just plain boiled chicken and white rice. The vet said we could pour some watered down chicken broth on it. It's very gentle on their tummies.
