That look awesome! I would love to achieve the upper body strength to do this. I don't know if I'll be there in time for this year.
Newbie question - what happens if you can't do something? Like I fail at the monkey bar things (what are those called - the name is escaping me right now), am I kicked out of the race? I've only done a 5K, never any obstacle course stuff.
Hulley they say that you have to attempt the obstacle once and skipping obstacles isn't allowed. So from friends that did it last year; you manage one monkey bar and fall - you can either try again or run to the next obstacle.
That looks like so much fun! I'm going to see if I can convince friends to do it with me...I really want to do the zombie run 5k this year...I think having zombies chase me may actually cut some time off my run!

Are you talking about the one in Salem??? I did it last year!
That looks pretty hard core! I did the the Diva Dash also held at the Marshfield Fairgrounds this past Fall. It my first 5k type race and though it did have some obstacles they were nothing like what Ruckus shows. It was a lot of fun though and since it was all women I felt less intimidated. My friend and I signed up to do it again and I'm hopping I'll be in better running shape and can run more and walk less this time.
We are also considering signing up for the 5k FoamFest in Haverhill this summer.
