J has a very not family-friendly car (sports car). My car (Acura RDX) is great for kids, but I hate it and ideally will get rid of it when we move in together in August. J's lease (I know, I know) is over in a few months and we want to get something that will be good for toting around little ones, strollers, Ava, etc. I think he will require it to be at least somewhat sporty. I want it to have lots of bells and whistles cause I like that type of stuff. I like my SUV since I am high up, but I don't think the car would have to be an SUV. Ideas?
Sorry if this is a lame post but I had to post something per RNV and this is all that I've got.
In general I was born without the "give a crap about cars" gene, but I looove Range Rovers. I know they're $$$, but they're so pretty and would fit your paramenters.
That's all I got, lol.
Somehow I don't think that will fly! You can get the base model for 60k (which is still expensive), but when you add all the stuff I would want it is almost 100k. I wish. They are so hot.
I have a Honda CR-V and love it, but it doesn't fit your sporty parameters. I love, love loved my Mercedes. If they still made the model I had, I would have bought another one. Their SUV is quite fun to drive, too. If you are in the market for another SUV, I'd suggest the M class. They have a lot of space.
I test drove the VW Toureag and really liked it, but it was too big for me. My sister loves hers, though. It's kind of sporty, and has some great luxury features.
I'm no help - I have a 2009 Saturn Vue Hybrid. If I'm making a wish list I'd love a Toyota Sequoia(sp?). Real suggestion? My gf has a Pilot and loves it.

J's current car is a Mercedes CLS and he doesn't want another one for some reason. I guess it has had a lot of issues. I love the look of the tiny Mercedes SUV. It's so cute!
We ditched our Civic Hybrid snd got a Mercedes ML350 SUV when I was pregnant with Henry (we couldn't fit the stroller in th back of the civic!). We love it - it has worked very well with the kids.
Audi would be nice, and Volvos come to mind as well.
I'm really no help in the sporty/bells and whistles category. We trend more toward the cheap and roomy. I drive a Fit, DH drives either his 18yo Civic or his Honda Ridgeline.
As much as my SUV guzzles gas, I do love my Audi Q7. It rides really smooth and has great space and lots of extras. They also have the Q5 if you wanted something a little smaller.
