In the freezer. We buy bread from TJs; I think it must be a lack of preservatives, but the bread from there goes bad withing a couple of days if it's not frozen. Also, we only use enough sandwich bread to go through a loaf about every month or so.
room temperature in a SS breadbox we have. if we had room to store it in our fridge i would rather do that (did it when we lived downsouth, which was very necessary due to roaches). our countertops are few/far between, so would rather not have a big ol' breadbox taking up that valuable real estate.
