It's NMS, but I think it's a decent price for that many pieces. It looks to be in good shape, and it's not cheapy furniture if it's Thomasville. If you like the style, I think it's a good deal. If you don't really like it, I would say to wait for something better. $750 might be a good deal for all those pieces, but it's also a lot to spend on something you don't really like and might want to replace in a couple years.
I dig it. I think it's different from the standard. And I like the detail it has to it. It also appears to be solid and sturdy and unless you have thousands these days furniture just doesn't come like that.
I'd do something about the chair cushions. It'd be cute and more updated with another pattern for sure!

It would go in our garage
DH thinks it is "ok". I am not in any rush, I just thought it was a steal. So I am going to wait for something we both like.
We will never ever ever buy a whole dining set like that new because there is always going to something we would rather spend 5000$ on, so CL is my only option. It will take a while to find something we agree on on CL probably. Mr. Picky pants thinks he has the right to an opinion in his own house. Where did he get that idea?
The house we made an offer on (still waiting to hear back) has a fairly regular sized dining room, but it is open to the foyer, so it feels bigger, and wouldn't be overpowering. It also has a very big window, so lots of light.

I'm glad we didn't buy an "expensive" china cabinet prior to buying our house (even a $750 set counts as expensive in my book). I looked, but never found quite what I wanted. The house we ended up buying has a built in buffet in the dinning room, so there is no space for a china cabinet. Instead I'm gonna get some glass fronted upper cabinets. And I'm gonna sell my funky cheap china cabinet on CL because there is no where to put it.
I'm also skeptical of the drop leaf design. Have you ever owned a table like that? Leaves tend to sag, and no one can sit next to them when they are down. Our first table was like this, and we only kept it a year for that reason.
It would be one thing if you were going to use them now, but if you are just going to store them for use after a move to a house that isn't for sure yet? I think that only makes sense if you really really love them (and it sounds like you don't), and even then it's kind of questionable.
