We had our Gender Reveal party today. We wanted to find out the sex and my mom was against it but when I told her what a gender reveal party was she ran with the idea and became addicted to Pinterest. So she went all out today. When we got to the house there were pink and blue balloons outside and a sign that said "Welcome to the Blushing Bowl." Inside she had hung two rows of baby clothes - for boys or girls and had a poster board of who guessed which sex with people's names in blue and pink footballs.
And my cake. Every major life event should have cake:
We cut it while skyping with my little sister who is in Italy for the semester. I know it's silly to say you're surprised when there was only ever a 50% chance but Friday's ultrasound convinced my husband and I it was a girl it was a girl and we've talked exclusively about girl names since then. I'm relieved because we were so much more sure of our boy name choices. LOL.
And here's my son! He's already a pound and healthy in every way:
Congratulations! At first I thought the cake was pink *and* blue and this was your way of announcing that it's twins. lol. But I think what I thought was pink is just chocolate filling. The football integration is very clever!
No I got discouraged by a bath of really cold weather and then in the end we were frantically rushing to NJ for a funeral on Friday so I barely thought about packing anything cute. My sweater was purple though so I said it was pink plus blue.
