Well I haven't actually ordered the master bathroom hardware yet but I'm using the Schaub & Company stuff I PIP'd in your first post. Like I said you just have to find a manufacturer that carries polished nickel pieces. A few sites let you sort out polished nickel which is very helpful. Otherwise I sort by nickel and then do a "find" for polished since only a handful are. As far as the actual sites I've used pullsdirect and knobs4less with no issues.
Well I'm anal and I can tell. In the master bathroom every single fixture is polished nickel...lights, faucets, shower fixture, towel hooks, hand towel bars, and even the toilet lever so I was worried it might be more noticeable if just the hardware wasn't. Chrome is a million times easier to find though. If it doesn't bother you go for it! Seriously. I love the look of polished nickel but I think I'm going with chrome for other rooms of the house.
Butting in. I've found places that specialize in vintage hardware usually have better selections in polished nickel (places like House of Anitque Hardware), but they are pricier. We also have plating shop near us, and we have had a bunch of stuff like our door handle plate and soap holder plated in polished nickel.
I like the finish because it's much warmer than chrome. Chrome as a sort of bluish cast to it, while PN has a yellower tone. If you put the finishes next to each other IRL, you'd see the difference.
Oh I really like those! The Amerock stuff we ordered was all really nice and solid. The best price I could find at B&M stores and online was at shopamerock which is really just knobs4less.
Yes Juno is right it's more noticeable in person. If you're just looking at online pics you probably won't see the difference. But then there are always the people who don't really see the difference in person...or choose to care like my DH. We used chrome in the blue, white, and gray bathroom and polished nickel in the cream, tan, and cherry bathroom. They made an impact on the look to me but DH could care less LOL.

Thanks for the sites. I'll check their prices then compare it with the cost our cabinet maker can get them. To my understanding, he can get them for a lot lower cost. We'll see if that's true.

Does knobs4less typically have coupons? I tried to search for coupon codes but found nothing.
Yeah the hardware is a big expense in a kitchen that a lot of people don't think about. Well if your builder can't get them for cheaper at least that is $60 off.

Yeah. I did contact shopamerock for more % discount. They said 10%. I was asked if I was in the trade though. So that may mean my cabinet maker can actually get them for much less. Hope to hear from the cabinet maker tomorrow. I'm crossing my fingers.
