...clunky online real estate search engines. I might have found a house ages ago if I wasn't so frustrated with badly designed sites.
...every link for a house that I send to DH being under contract by the time he gets around to looking at it, whether it is a new listing or a really old one....it is like it is tied to me being interested and I am some sort of good luck for sellers.
...upgraded houses. I cringe at the number of flips and remodels done with little thought to the integrity of the style/function of the house. The character has been removed from some, and the wrong character has been attempted to be added to others.
...price change updates being for prices being raised. Today it was for a house that we have on our possible list, that has been on the market for 125 days.
...people telling me to rent and then look once we move out there. Prices are going up, I don't want to have to move twice (and pay for the second move) if it can be avoided, and I don't want to be renting or staying in a hotel with four little dogs who have separation issues, while still house hunting. I have researched enough and DH has been there often enough to have a good idea of where we want to be, and we will check it out before we sign our lives away, tyvm.
*sigh*
DH will be out there on business next week so he is trying to set up some viewings. I am just hoping that we can find houses for him to check out and that they are still available by the time he gets there.
We have a really nice realtor who has been trying to help us. I am not sure that she quite understands what we want, but in all fairness, our varied tastes can confuse people who know us. I can understand how it would be hard for someone who doesn't know us that well to really get us.
We rented first. Loved our new town, hated our incredibly overpriced rental. Bought a house and our landlords are being jerks and giving us problems with out lease. We have been here for 11 months (got suckered into a 14 month lease) Our new house we bought with a rehab loan (added rehab costs to principal) and we are making it the way we want. It's almost done!!! It was a much better option for us than the "flipped" houses we saw where we would have to rip out half the new stuff. I hope you can find something you love because renting bit us in the ass and I hate the though of moving again although I can't wait to do it

Sorry that your landlords are being jerks. Post photos of your new house and your work on it so that I can live vicariously!
I wish we were moving to Sarasota area....they have some really amazing mid century architecture there. Unfortunately, that would make my husband's commute siimilar to the horrible one he has now.lol
Sorry you're having such a hard time. I'm right there with you ... we ended up renting because we couldn't find a place we wanted to buy. Moving twice sucks, but settling for a house you don't really want isn't great either.
