So we got home from our cruise last night. We had an awesome time!
We had some rougher waters for a couple days, but I never got seasick or anything. I'm not one to really get motion sickness. When we would get off the ship at the ports, I'd have the sensation of feeling like I was still on a moving ship here and there but nothing major. My entire family felt that. Last night I had that same sensation occasionally after getting off. Flew home, slept fine with no issues. I went to work today and felt nothing. I laid down to sleep tonight and am overwhelmed with dizziness/feeling like I'm still on the moving ship. Like its worse than when i was actually on the ship!
What the crap is going on with my body? I've been on cruises before without this happening. Oh and I have to be up for work in 2 1/2 hours and have yet to be able to fall asleep. Suck!
It could be since I do feel a cold coming on. That already crossed my mind. I'm just waiting it out for now to see if it passes or continues. Its just annoying. I got no sleep last night.
Fatigue and maybe getting sick is probably exacerbating it. Hope you can get through the day...And am very jealous of your cruise, I am a cruise addict.

A friend of mine had this exact thing happen post-cruise. She let it go a few days and ended up with a really bad double ear infection and antibiotics to cure it. Head to the doctor if you can.
I had a friend actually get full-on vertigo after cruising (and she is a really healthy, really active girl). She was laid up for a while in recovery, experiencing the same symptoms as you, but worse. I would definitely check with a doc if you're still experiencing symptoms after a few more days of this.
Glad you have fun. I used to sail a lot, and 19 out of 20 times I wouldn't feel anything, but then once in a while, approx once a year, I'd get it terribly after I got home, could hardly walk stairs and such. It sucks!
That happened when I went on a cruise. I was fine the first day back, but super dizzy the next few days. If you are getting sick, I bet it is even worse. Feel better!
I definitely caught a nasty cold. But hey, its not the flu so that's good. I'm pretty sure it was related to that. I slept much better last night (thank you Nyquil) and don't feel liking I'm swaying anymore. Just feeling like the "normal" under the weather now. I'm thankful I had the day off today anyways so I can try and recover some before heading back to work tomorrow.
My husband is sick too, but we somehow have different symptoms. lol Nothing says welcome back like being sick together.
