This is what I got so far after yesterdays rearranging:
This is what I'm considering:
1) I still love the decals. Take them down as a border and do them all on the wall her crib is on.
2) Take the hooks down by the mirrors. I actually need them somewhere else.
3) Move the shadow boxes to each side of the window. That shelf can go. Make a mini photo wall with what's on there and another picture I have somewhere else. Maybe around the mirror?
4) I'd like to take down the word decal. Just not sure I have the heart to. Someone gave that to me when Hope was born and I really like what the phrase is saying.
Thoughts/suggestions? I'm just talking about a bit of rearranging and decorating here. Nothing too drastic. I can rearrange a bit again, I just don't want anything on the sides of the crib. It was much cuter that way but isn't safe at this point. I also don't want to add more furniture. She likes the play space.
I like your ideas, is the word decal repositionable? If so what about putting it above the door. That way it isn't a focal point but it will be a nice reminder as people leave the room.

Hmmm...I like this idea. I don't know for sure. It was a PITA to put up so I'm doubting it. I might try it. If it's trash it's trash. I have it in pictures.

I like your ideas and I really like the idea of hanging it above the door or even the closet doors. I'd keep the decals up high. My daughter had some in her playroom and peeled them all off the walls.
Well then to be safe, take a good picture of it and then if it is trashed and you still want it as some point you can print a landscape of it and frame it. Slightly ghetto, but we will consider it ghetto fab!

Ha! True. I have mixed feelings about it right now, but once it's gone, it's gone. I'm the least sentimental person ever..lol. Out of sight out of mind.
It's a cute room. You made the changes sound awful, but it isn't bad. It's a bit too much symmetry for my taste (actually much too much), but it isn't my house so it doesn't matter.lol

No I totally agree with you. I don't love the symmetry either. It's about all I can do with the furniture though. I need safe and functional at this point. Her room is also a big square with a square window. I think no matter what I do it'll always be symmetrical. I think it'll be better when she gets a big kid bed. I'm hoping by moving most of the artwork around it'll help for the time being.

I don't mind the furniture placement...it is the symmetry on the walls that that kind of makes twitchy. ;p
I think moving the shadowboxes is a good idea. If you have more stuff to hang, a gallery wall would be good, but I would move the mirror a little so that it is offset and use other frames to balance it. Actually, just moving the mirror to one side and using the round things next to it, one above the other would work.
I think your art is hung a bit high....especially for a kid space. I feel like a kid should be able to see it, so some hung lower for when they are playing and some a bit higher so it is viewed from the crib is a good thing. Maybe something vertical over the race track (maybe a concentration of the dots so that she can't reach them to peel them as easily as if they were over the crib).

I like your ideas of moving the shadows boxes they seem really far apart at the moment and kind high without anything under them. if you are wanting to take down the decal phase buy some vinyl transfer paper and attach it to that so you can move it. I think above the door would be a great place for it. Also I think moving the hooks beside th mirror would be fine.

I would take the hooks down and move the shadow boxes like you said. I think I would leave the dots at the top so she doesn't mess with them.
I think I would take the words down, but I wold want something on that wall. I don't know what, though. It might just have to be bare until she is out of the crib and in a lower bed, though.
