OMG. You guys. Yesterday R brought the mail home while I was still working. He gets all excited about something, and when I asked, he hands me this card addressed to him and goes "LOOK!" So I did ... it was a card from the insurance company talking about their "maternity management" service. (We're TTC starting April.) He was like "THIS WILL BE GREAT! WE CAN USE THIS!"
He's so excited about maybe having a kid, y'all. When the heck did this happen? Last year he was all "ehhhh, kids. Take 'em or leave 'em" And now dude has SERIOUS baby rabies - way worse than me (I'm still a little ehhhh). I'm just in shock over the 180-degree flip.

I'm non-hormonal BC (paragard) so I'll just have it pulled at my gyn visit in April and we'll go from there. We're pretty relaxed folks and honestly, I can't see myself getting into the true TTC spirit. We're just going with "if it happens, great" - at least for a year or so.
ETA: as regards not getting into the TTC spirit .... I can't see myself doing it b/c I'm just too lazy/forgetful to make record-keeping worthwhile - not that it wouldn't be interesting or anything, but temping and all that ... probably not going to happen. LOL
I'm right there with ya merida. I've been temping for 2 cycles and we have major baby rabies here. I'm thinking about getting the OPKs to add in too since I still don't know when I O.
Still slightly on hold with a couple things, but we are both at the point now that we don't want to keep pushing it back. I just turned 31 and my age really hit me.
that's cute mrs J that your H is all excited. awww.
I'd try the casual approach for a bit but maybe start temping and tracking (or at least OPKs) after 3 months. That way, if there's a problem, you have data to see what's going on.
I get pretty giddy when DH makes comments about TTCand looking forward to the baby. It's so sweet
I wonder if H will ever get like that. He's pretty meh about the whole thing, but to be fair so am I right now. I'll share something weird - I keep walking into the baby section when I'm at Target to see if I get baby cravings. None yet, just flashes of extreme anxiety. Babies apparently need a lot of crap.
And Merida, tell the doctor to suck it. 29 is not old. Heck, it will be a miracle if I pop one out before 33 and most of my friends are on the same page.

Lol sounds like when Dh got his job he was all excited and was like we can start trying now lol. Guys are funny!!
Eta: Merida your doctor sucks! Mine doctor laughed at me when I asked if I should be worried about having kids because we are not ready and I was worried about waiting. I'm 28. I wouldn't get to excited until your 35.
