does anyone know if you can throw these in the dryer? we have the white cotton slipcover on our couch and the tag says not to tumble dry, but I could swear that I've heard of people throwing them in the dryer.
IDK. I don't have an Ikea couch, but I wash and dry my cushion covers. I take them out when they're slightly damp and then put them back on. When they're totally dry, they fit and nice and snug.
Do not dry with much heat! And do not dry all the way. I usually put mine on low heat for 10-20 min to just get it started then on air fluff until it's just damp. I got lazy last week end over dried mine and it shrunk a lot and I almost couldn't get it back on the sofa.

Same here, though I'm guessing it depends on the fabric. This is what I do for a cotton (?) Ektorp sofa cover. It'll look much less wrinkly if the covers are a bit damp when you put them on too.

so I did the low temp dry for 20 minutes and then air fluffed a bit. worked great. MUCH less wrinkly than when I've just air dried them. the wash put a hole in bottom cover, though. boo. luckily the bottom cushion covers it up. I think 5 years of washing is starting to take it's toll.
