No. Although I had one former manager call me Shay because she said my name was too long. And in college people called me Shanti which has the same number of syllables and the same first syllable but has actually no bearing on my name whatsoever.
I go by my nickname - the only people who use my full name are a select few family members. I hate starting a new job bc all of my professional stuff has my full name on it and I have to train people to NOT call me that.
But my Dad does call me "whoie" as in "who-e" or as in Howie just with who before hand.
I also answer to my Mom's name because my Grandma mixes them up. And when I was at work, there were a group of girls, myself included, who all had "H" names. We just answered whatever name they mixed us up with because it was easier than to sort out who they needed.

I'm going through this now. My father is the ONLY person who regularly calls me by Angela. The rest of my family calls me Ann or Annie. I go by Angie (or even Ang) to friends/coworkers.
When I call Charlotte Charlie or Lottie (the former I will sing Hey There Charlie Girl, instead of Georgie) and she is quick to tell me that her name is Charlotte. lol
