I could use some inspiration. My husband is notoriously hard to get gifts for, and I went a little light for his last birthday, so I'd like to do/get something thoughtful for Father's Day.
Any ideas? It doesn't need to be store bought, though our daughter is only one and can't do much in the way of arts and crafts yet.

can you use her hand prints in paint for her to "make" him a picture (you're doing the making).
or do one of those photo collages where she holds a D and an A and you put them together for DAD and he can put it on his desk. or frame a cute picture of the 2 of them together - again probably for his office as if you're like me you already have pics all over the house.
I am going to attempt one of those "DAD " pictures where you have the kids hold the letters. I am also going to order some Lou Malnati's pizzas from Taste of Chicago. We will go to a fancy dinner at some point too, but not actually on fathers day. My mom already agreed to babysit, we just have to see what day is good for her.
since baby's not here yet we aren't really doing anything this year. He made me breakfast in bed though so I plan to make him his favorite pie (strawberry).

Last year we did the framed handprints and " hands down the best daddy" for his office. This year I am having her fill out the "daddy questioneer" and possibly framing a SUPER cute pic of the two of them at the park. I was going to do a picture iphone case but with the new babe on the way, I figured that would be better for next year.
DS put up a hilariously adorable argument on how my husband really wanted a Captain America bobble head as his present while at Barnes and Noble and I gave in (it was $9). I think we will make a bookmark with a picture of the two of them as he still prefers old school books to read.
We made this last year. I downloaded sports logos and made outlines with a Silhouette, cut them on vinyl and then put them on canvas. DS painted the canvas and once dry I pulled the vinyl up for a painting with his favorite teams. You could probably do it with vinyl and an exacto knife if you have a steady hand.
I am gettig my husband Goodnight iPad and a pair of ruby and Mother of Pearl cuff links. DD's birthstone is ruby and mine is pearl. Father's day is also my bday, so he has to share the day, so I thought I would do something extra special.

DH has to work that morning. I was going to cook a nice dinner and buy his favorite wine. We don't usually do gifts, but there is a video game he has been wanting that I am going to get him. I've been thinking about some sort of craft for DD to do, but I'm pretty uninspired. I ordered a photo card with a picture of both of them.
We don't do gifts that often, although last year I bought him cologne. My parents will be in town on Father's Day. We'll go to brunch and then we're going to a historical mansion that has an 1864 style baseball game on Father's Day. Hope fully it will be fun.
