I have some salvaged lantern fixtures on my mantel that I decorated for fall and winter. Now I'm wondering what to do with them for spring. Are brass (with a serious patina) fixtures sort of inherently fall/winter like decor? Should I put them away until next fall? I was thinking of maybe filling them with fake hydrageas in bright blues/greens. Or maybe white candles with fake hydrangeas in a vase. My mantel is dark brown and my foyer is filled with dark brown paneling, so the room can always use some brightening up in spring.
I'd also love it if you can PIP your spring mantel decor My pinterest searches are sort of blah.

You're ahead of the game...Im still trying to figure out my valentines decor. I'll do st pattys after that then Spring/Easter. I think you can make your lanterns spring. I need to do some more decor searching for my self so I will see if I find anything.
I would put some colorful candles in them and then let the pretty of your lanterns shine otherwise. I always like simple and bright in spring. I usually do a fun candle and some driveway rocks in mine for spring/summer. Cheap and easy.
Sierra, I'm ahead of the game because it's California. Spring starts somewhere around mid-February I was noticing that some of the flowering tree buds are swelling! I just started my rotating mantel decor, but I'm not planning to decorate for holidays other than Halloween, T-day, and Christmas.
I like the rock idea for the smaller one. Maybe I can pick up some river stones somewhere... And I did just receive two milk glass vases from my grandmother; I think I'll put those in there too. Thanks TBM!
I used to roll my eyes at the mantel decorating posts in years past, but now I need help. I have a mantel. I don't know what to do with it. :::walks away with tail between legs:::
Hahaha. I've got my first couple of attempts in my bio near the bottom. Pinterest has some nice holiday ideas. This is the first year I've attempted anything seasonal (besides Christmas) on top of the stuff I regularly keep there.
