Well, not invasive surgery hopefully, just lithotripsy to blast my damn kidney stone out of my kidney. The last one I had was 6mm (!!) and too big to pass, so they blasted it. I have a feeling this one is going to be too big. I was in the ER on Monday and it took 4 rounds of morphine to even touch the pain.
I play like I'm not scared because I've had 3 of these already, but TBH, I'm kind of terrified. I hate having general anestesia and last time I came out from being under half way though the procedure and could feel the sound waves on my back.
Oh it is. I get sick from anesthesia so I always get some anti-nausea meds when I have surgery. I HATED waking up from my knee surgery. I went through all 10 CCs of Morphine because of the pain. Ugh.
I'm so sorry about your kidney stone. I had one that wouldn't pass for over a month so they finally decided to do lithotripsy, only when they figured out where it was they decided to go in and pull it out instead.
Definitely tell your doctor about your previous anesthesia experience, that should not happen.

That is my nightmare. Literally. If it's small, they'll try to have me pass it but dude, I'll want lithotripsy after a month. I can't take the pain. I'm hopped up on Lortab as it is just to function.
Yea, I was on vicodin for that entire time, and I could barely function. I was sleepy all the time and of course months away from graduation. Staying awake through classes was rough, fortunately my teachers were really understanding.

I am so sorry! I had one that was 5-6mm, but since the ER sucked and refused to give me a CT scan, we didn't find out until it was embedded and required surgical removal. I have has many a stone and never lithitripsy... yet
