Our lease is up in April and we want to find a house to rent. We had a couple of fantastic strokes of luck this week- FIL sent us a check out of the blue 'just because' and an old CW of H's posted on FB about his house for rent. Which just happens to be right in the neighborhood we want, the right size and the right price. It's PERFECT. And, he said he'll hold it for us until April and would love to rent to us.
Only problem is, even though the guy said he is ok with us having a cat and a dog, my H keeps saying that the guy is anal and blah blah and that basically he thinks my cat sucks and will ruin this guy's house.
I'm kind of pissed. I'm tired of him complaining about my cat She's 14 years old and I've had her since I was 20. All she does is chill 99% of the time. Anyway, it ruined my excitement about the house.
That would irritate me as well. If I had a pet for that long and H was putting a damper on my dreams of renting a house.
I'm online window shopping for a hypothetical ring I want but probably won't ever get because I hate asking H for gifts and I hate when he spends money on me.
I did tell him I had the cat for many years before I had him! lol
Admittedly, the cat has done some destruction to the carpets here, but it was because she was shut in the bedroom while I was sleeping and neither of us heard her clawing to get out. The rental has hardwoods, so we wouldn't have that issue. Also, the master bedroom isn't right off the living room like it is here, so I probably wouldn't need to shut the door when I went to bed.
I've told H that if he tells anyone from church that I've got kidney stones, I will kill him. The last thing I need is 12 dozen nosy mormon moms offering my funeral potatoes and casseroles and in my nightmare of a house. It's not going to be good if they get wind of my possible surgery. They mean well, but they're exhausting.
I'm trying to figure out how I can turn my potential surgery into something longer so I can take time off work. 2 weeks off work sounds blissful right now.
Lortab makes me very loopy. And chatty. And weird.
Jezebel - if the owner says he's cool with cats, that is indeed on him. Tell your H to lighten up. Nama - that dinner sounds delish!
My husband is out of town on business for 4 days starting today, home for a day, then gone for another 5-6 days. I'm getting better at handling these trips though and today felt like I was just winning at life. Fingers crossed the rest of the next two weeks goes the same way.
Obviously the landlord says he's ok with cats. As long as that is written on the lease, I see no problem.
I have a gigantic headache, so I took one of the hospital grade ibuprofen left over from post delivery pain, even though that pain has mostly passed. I really hope it helps. I also wish I had started pumping so I could dump the kid with H for the night. Between work and class, H has been gone most of the day and I watched the baby all day. And now I have to watch him again tonight while H sleeps soundly. Tonight I'm kinda resenting H even though he's done nothing wrong and has just tried to be helpful whenever he has been home today.

My angora mutt rabbit couldn't see because her eyes were covered with fur like a really small, pitiful sheepdog. So last night I gave her a haircut, and now she looks like a schnauzer.

Being irrationally angry at your spouse when you have a newborn is about par for the course. I hope you have a smooth night tonight and the little guy lets you get some sleep. Hang in there.
I'm really tired and should go to bed. I slept at my aunts house the past two nights and her beds are way too hard. I've been lonely the past couple days.
nannersp - Poor thing My friend at parent-toddler class was there today, officially 5 days past her due date and is now scheduled for induction on Thursday. I hope both of your little girls get a move on already. I also think you need a good reflexology foot massage. Would probably feel great and may even help get labor going?
The last few weeks have been awful. I'm in so much damn pain all the time. I have pain from my butt cheek to my ankle, my hips hurt, my lower back hurts, I can't breathe, I've been having cramps...I do not remember my pregnancy with Sofia being this difficult and painful. I am thankful that I still haven't really put on any weight, considering this time with Sofia I had already packed on 38 lbs .
3 more months. Only 3 more months. I swear, this kid better be the easiest baby ever.

I'm leaving for work now and I really do not want to go. It has been so stressful for the past three weeks. My boss leaves me alone with 9+ 2 year olds every day for 4-5 hours. I can't work like this. I'm a Montessori teacher and I can't have a Montessori classroom without an assistant with this many small children. My assistant comes but she's only scheduled from 10-2. I stress all night about this and dread going to work every morning.
nanners, take lots of walks if you can. If nothing else, it gets your mind off of things and makes you feel like you're doing something productive.
Thanks! I'm trying to do that in the form of errands around town (trips to the mall and Target, etc.), knowing that I'l be cooped up inside soon enough.
I filed my tax return, and we're getting 3100 back. I have never had this big of a refund before! I know I'm not supposed to be excited, but I totally am. Lol
