So I've spent the day jumping through hoops to do a one-day observation in a middle school. Let me preface this by saying that I am a high school teacher already.... Today I acquired a criminal background check and was fingerprinted. Fine. I did this to become a teacher but whatever, it's been awhile. Now I need a TB test. So I make an appt at my doctor's office. I go in today for said appt. An admin comes up and tells me that they cannot administer the test because I haven't seen my doctor since '09. Ok, I explain, I don't really get sick, and I've been SAH with my kids and haven't needed a physical. Doesn't matter. They will.not. administer the TB test until I have a physical. Sigh. I DON'T HAVE TUBERCULOSIS! Also, they could have, say, told me that, before I made the appt. So now I have to get another babysitter, pay for a physical, and go in twice more to complete this. So annoyed.
Thanks, you guys. I'd go to the Health Department, but it's easier and faster to just see the doc tomorrow. The person at the office was just so damn snooty. "Miss, it's an INJECTION in your BODY." Oh, no shit? Lol.
