Ours finally died this morning. I don't want a Keurig or anything like that as we make a full pot each morning. I'm looking to spend $150-200 and don't really need any special features necessarily. Ours currently is cuisinart and grinds beans, which we used to use but don't anymore.

I was just going to say to avoid the grind and brew. I hate all the cleanup that is necessary between brews. But we do love the thermal carafe it has. It is nice to take outside with us on warm mornings while we read the paper on the patio. Otherwise we are happy enough with our cuisinart. I would get another. Just a different model. signed, patiently waiting for ours to break too.
That's a cute perc', wop. My brothers have something similar for making espresso (bialti? or something). One other benefits of the perc' I posted is that you don't need filters

oh, we do have a french press (and electric kettle) too but it is smaller than our coffee pot and doesn't do a great job keeping it warm. But we love it for days one of us isn't home or for a late night, smaller dose of coffee.
I have a Mr. Coffee and love it. It wasn't one of those $29.99 versions at Target. It was like a $100.00 and from Herbergers I think. We love the timer and the warming plate. Also makes great coffee...people comment on it all of the time. I'm not buying high end coffee either (usually Target brand, sometimes Caribou). It's also the easiest to clean coffee maker ever. No hidden corners etc. Mine is like 7 years old and still fabulous. They're still for sale I know..see it all the time.

We just got a Mr. Coffee from Costco for $20-25 that has all the functions we wanted, and has water filtration discs you can use. It has a clock, auto-brew timer, regular and strong brewing options, and an adjustable warming plate, as well as a permanent/reusable filter.

We have the most expensive mr coffee and we really like it. You can set the coffee temp which Dh likes. And you can pour a cup before it done and it stops until the canister is replaced. I think it was 69.99 at target.
Thanks all! I went to BBB and talked to their regional small electrics person....she was training reg employees in all the coffee makers and she knew so much about each machine. She said consumer reports #1 year after year is the Cuisinart. I decided to go with this one and she said it was a good choice since I didn't want the grinder and thermal pot:
