I just saw on Facebook that Whole Foods will be closing their locations at 3pm today and won't open until noon tomorrow.
What other storm related closings have you heard of?
They closed during Hurricane Sandy, too. I wish I would have known that before I dragged myself out in pouring rain and 50 mph gusts of wind. That was the only time in my life I thought I might actually blow away.
I have a bunch of updates on my FB of restaurants that I follow that say that they are closing tonight or others that say they will be open as long as there is power so please come by.
FI's restaurant is staying open for the storm. He said the dinning room was nearly full for lunch, and that they had great profits from the last big snow storm that they remained open for.
They are putting him up at the Liberty for the night so I'm on my own now ladies!

Wow, I just heard about the traffic ban too! The penalty is up to 1 year in prison. That's nuts! But a good idea.
My plant closed at noon, so I'm WFH. In the morning meeting, my boss was trying to get them to open Saturday in case the snow goes out to sea. He's nuts.
Have they said what time they plan on lifting the traffic ban?
No estimate given. Deval said it depends on how the storm progresses. Someone asked about the Bruins game at 1pm and he strongly advised that the Bruins cancel it, and said he's not sure that the roads will be open by then anyway.
I just found the official order. LOL at "His Excellency". Is this how they do all official stuff?
The Bruins game has been pushed to 7pm tomorrow night instead of starting at 1pm.
Where have you guys seen what the penalties are? I'm trying to convince my sister she needs to go home because I don't think Vet Techs are considered essential personnel and she's currently scheduled until 7pm to work.

Thanks! She's being stubborn and is insisting that because she works in the surgical department of the animal hospital she is essential health care. Ugh, she drives me nuts but whatever I tried.
