Ok ladies. Left to my own devices, I could very probably spend the entire weekend on here and Pinterest and not accomplish a darn thing. I need a buddy to do projects with me or someone just to nag me.
Things to do
- Pack away the serving dishes from DH's promotion...from Dec 15
- Caulk and paint the bathtub trim
- Take the recycling to the center and set up my new at-home system

Oh, golly. Don't get me started on my weekend to-do list. We'll be at the new house all weekend, with (probably) no wi-fi. However, I'll happily log on and bug you when I can, though. If you'd like.

I'll do projects with you!
I need to:
-Hang curtain rods (new Pella blinds come next week so no curtains going up yet) -Assemble some furniture -Figure out where to put the few boxes I had left to unpack that we don't have space for yet -Get some consignment sale tagging done and put into the garage until the sale next month

I bet you could do most of that (aside from a million loads of laundry) over one day and then be lazy the second day. At least that would be my strategy. Though I may not be the best for motivation. My list includes : go to hot yoga, wrap present for child's friends birthday. So I am in a decidedly lazy phase right now. Damn february weather.
Well I'm going to the Garden Expo (going to 6 seminars!) on Saturday and DH is shooting a match on Sunday so realistically not a lot is going to get done. But next few items on our list are:
- finish priming the master bath - fix texture on master bath ceiling - texture master bath walls - paint master bath ceiling - paint master bath walls - start painting the thin diamond pattern in the master closet - texture the patches in the hallway and entry ceiling - move the boxes out of the DR and move everything out of the LR into the DR - install hardware on the dresser and move it out of the LR and into the bedroom (finally!) - paint the LR, entry, stairs, and hall ceiling - paint the LR, entry, stairs, and hall walls - add felt pads on the feet of the tufted chair and move that into the bedroom - finalize the vanity and storage cabinet layout with the cabinet maker and pay the downpayment (gulp, the quote is more than we had planned) - buy a low profile tilt TV mount for the master bedroom and hang the TV
I have a list like that too and am kind of thankful for this snowstorm which will probably keep me in and I can get some stuff done. I am going to make a list after dinner and work on it this weekend. It will feel good to get some stuff crossed off! These things have been on my mind since October.
So far I have (besides normal house stuff like laundry and cleaning)
Recaulk bathroom tub Caulk trim in stairwell Clean my closet out Organize attic from just throwing crap up there for the past few months Touch up paint on the trim in bathroom Re-hang towel bar and TP holder in bathroom Re-hang jewelry rack in closet
And I'm sure I'll come up with a few more before tomorrow morning.

Have y'all started?
I need to do this stuff for the bathroom: -install blocking for towel bars, hooks, shelf, sink cabinet and radiator. -add blocking at corner where original framing isn't bearing on anything. (Nice) -etch glass for window. -etch glass in door -paint door? -insulate walls -stub out plumbing -install shower valve
My weekend doesn't start until Sunday afternoon. But I'll totally buddy up!
I really need to clean the mother loving storage room. It's disastrous.
I also need to go through all the stuff h brought home from his office. Me thinks most of it will be finding a new home, but I need to respect his feelings too. Losing his job and then losing the stuff he had there might be too much for one week.
I need somebody to get my butt into gear to finish painting my living room and dining room. I did the first coat on one of huge living room walls while DS was sleeping. It sucks to try and paint when it's dark outside because once it's daytime I saw all the spots I missed. We just got home from one of DS's classmate's birthday party and their house was meticulous and looked like a Pottery Barn catalog. My house is a mess. I think my issue is that I still live by the philosophy of sleep when DS sleeps. He's almost three and I'm always exhausted by the time he goes to sleep. He never naps on the weekends so it's not like i can get anything done during naptime either. Le sigh. I need to take a vacation and just get the painting finished but bossman hates when anybody takes any time off. He's seriously Mr. Scrooge. Okay. Rambling over.

Ok, halfway there! I installed all the blocking, stubbed out the plumbing, and insulated 90% of the walls until I ran out of staples. Etching the glass didn't work, so I frosted 2/3 panes until I ran out of film. This all with help from my assistant:
I ran out of laundry detergent halfway through, but I did the annoying delicate loads that need special attention, so that's good. I had every intention of going to the store this morning to get more, but it is pouring in sheets here, sooo fireplace and a cup of tea it is!
I did decorate for spring and straighten the house. My sideboard had been bare - as in, completely naked, no lamps even - since Christmas, and I have people coming over Tuesday.
Yeah, I don't know how much will be accomplished today.
I've made a good dent on my list. After shoveling, cleaning & laundry yesterday - today was project day (and food shopping).
Recaulk bathroom tub - Forgot to not use shower yesterday so not dry enough to attempt Caulk trim in stairwell - Done Clean my closet out - Almost done Organize attic from just throwing crap up there for the past few months - too cold up there. Maybe another time but I did clean up garage a bit. Touch up paint on the trim in bathroom - Done Re-hang towel bar and TP holder in bathroom - Done Re-hang jewelry rack in closet - Done
I also Magic Erasered all the trim, sills and doors on 2nd floor. I feel pretty accomplished!!!

-Hang curtain rods (new Pella blinds come next week so no curtains going up yet) Nope. I had to go buy another for our room, but they're all laying in the kitchen now. -Assemble some furniture I got another cube organizer assembled, but it wasn't the furniture I had in mind. -Figure out where to put the few boxes I had left to unpack that we don't have space for yet Still in the same spot. -Get some consignment sale tagging done and put into the garage until the sale next month I moved them to the corner haha.
I did, however, applique 4 shirts, do a little shopping with H and the boys and spent most of the day with just the baby. Next weekend, I get some Monkey time!
