It is amazing how quickly you can get snowbound. We have been home for 24 hours straight and I want to get out. The snow is at a depth of 21" here in Cambridge and it is cold out there. We went out to shovel twice yesterday and I tried to go out this morning, but it still coming down. And the wind is blowing it around so much you cannot really see what you are shoveling.
It hasn't yet stopped here. Has it stopped for you?
I'm on the South Shore at my BF's place. I think it snowed maybe 20 inches or so. It's lightly dusting now. BF has been outside for 2 hours with the snowblower. I should probably go check on him soon.
This is why I am most definitely moving to another condo next. I don't "do" home ownership very well.

We probably got about 24 inches. DH cleared a path for the puppy earlier this morning. He is starting on shoveling our driveway for now. I imagine it will take a few hours to get done. I'm trying to get some work done in the mean time so if I don't make it in today its not a total bust of a day, but I'm probably going to have to go in late tonight or tomorrow for sometime to get other work done, or just stay really frigging late this week which I don't want to do. We didn't lose power at all which I'm grateful of.
I'm in Brookline and I think we got 23 inches? Unsure and I can't find official totals for us yet. I shoveled twice at night and DH and I have been alternating for the at 2 hours this morning and we aren't even close to done. I am going stir crazy. My 5 year old is in heaven.

We getting ready to head out. They're snow blowing out sidewalks and entry right now. Hasn't stopped yet. We're all just waiting on Dave to get ready so we can go outside. C is really intent on building this igloo.
We still have power!!!!!! Phew and yay! It has pretty much stopped here now (Burlington). I'm not sure how much we've got since we haven't gone out yet and it is all drifts, but at least 18" i think. I'm maki ing muffins for breakfast, after that well finally test out the snowblower we bought after the snowmagedden winter of 2010.

Did you see my hood challenged your hood to a snowman making contest? God I love the ville.
No! Where? I know a few years ago they went to town making snow sculptures in the middle of the sq here. C's favorite was the dinosaur.
The condo maintenence just started plowing out the complex and there is a massive snow drift against our garage. We are making chocolate chip pancakes and cocoa then are going to bundle up and take the dog out. It's taller than she is so it should be interesting.

DH just went out to do a second round of shoveling. The guy down the street came over with his Bobcat thing and plowed us out. I'm glad we bought a house in this awesome neighborhood. Its still snowing here and the winds are making it go sideways at this point. We will probably be over 2 feet easily at the end.
Channel 7 said Somerville ended up with 28", craziness! I've seen a couple people cross country ski down my street we're gonna head out soon and walk around the city.

Ha! We went wandering about, as well. Just because walking in the middle of the street with no cars around was fun. It seems market basket, reliable, and a few restaurants are open.

I've had the stomach flu for the last 4 days, so H has been doing everything. Including taking the dog out in the blizzard multiple times. I owe him like whoa. There's a couple of feet out there, but between the landlord's snowblower and the drifts, there is at least 4 feet of snow behind the car. Maybe more - I haven't been outside, but from the window, it looks like in some parts, the pile is as tall as the car. We left it for tomorrow; hopefully, I'll finally start feeling better and can help dig it out. At least I don't need it until Friday.
Also, being snowed in with a stomach flu sucks donkey balls. No beer, no snacks, just toast, applesauce and Pedialyte. I wanna eat junk food and drink copious amounts of beer. It's not fair.
