Found a pup today.

He's cute, right? He's extremely well mannered. He got into the crate I set up for him, and just laid down peacefully. He whined a little bit, but he hasn't had any accidents. I have kept him away from my other two, just in case he has fleas or hasn't been vaccinated. I went to the vet to check for a chip, but no luck =/

Good luck finding the owners (check craigslist and report him to local shelters or vets). If you can't find them, will you keep him? He is really cute

DH is not a dog person. I'm pushing it with two. I will look into local basset rescues.

I've put up signs, posted on local lost and founds on facebook. I put an ad on craigslist, but I need to call the paper and put one in there as well. I've put up information on the local humane society website and on a local TV station website. Hopefully I'll get a hit!

I called a family that had contacted the local humane society. They said he was black and brown, unfixed male, white patch on the chest, short legs... Everything matched. But "Bill" wasn't theirs! I was so disappointed. There's a low cost spay/neuter thing happening in my town next week. I'm going to get a voucher if I qualify financially. They also do $5 rabies shots. I don't have to get him neutered right away, but if we don't find the owner in another week or two, I'll get him neutered and talk to local rescues to see if we can get him adopted.



He's so cute!
