My dog seemed to be feeling even worse this morning, so the vet agreed to see him today. As we were getting ready to leave the house, Pongo started acting like nothing was wrong, following me around, wagging his tail, acting excited, etc. *sigh* Of course that would happen right before meeting the vet on a Sunday morning.
Anyway, got to the office, the vet listened to his gut, took an x-ray, and discovered that his entire colon was full of poop. This surprised me because he had 2 normal BMs in the last 2 days. He gave him a pain injection to make him more comfortable and then gave me an enema to administer once we got home (so it wouldn't start working while we were in the car).
I gave him the enema and he immediately pooped 3x. I'm sure he's not empty yet, but hopefully he will start feeling better soon. I updated the vet (per his request) via text after this, and we are going back at 7:30AM to check him over again. Hopefully that was the only problem!

OMG! I just went through this.exact.same.thing with Linus! And I, too, thought nothing of it b/c he had gone to the bathroom as usual too! He, too, was lethargic, and just not his normal self - turns out, he was full of poop! He is all of 11lbs, so he was really stuffed up. Same thing - got the enema, and he felt within half day!
