As usual, I have nothing of worth to contribute, but would appreciate anyone else's contributions as I try to think of something that isn't incredibly lame
After an epic battle between CEP & ML yesterday, the popular opinion is that mods are held to a higher standard than the average poster. So I'm not allowed to be flameworthy. Sorry :-#
I have unpopular opinions, but when these threads come up, my mind goes blank and I have nothing to contribute.
I'm a big fan of drama
But yeah, I feel like I spend all day with nasty and unpopular ideas in my head, but then I start a thread like this and my brain turns all Pollyanna on me.

lol Kore!
You're allowed to be flameworthy, you just might want to avoid c&p'ing reported threads. Which, hey, now we can't even see reported threads, so this shouldn't be an issue!

Better safe than sorry
I love message boards. Epic battles one day, completely forgotten the next.

You had to bring it up again. I am going to go start a MMM/S&B board war to keep you busy.
Am I the only one who can never really understand ML drama? I'm not sure whether I'm too dense to get what's going on, or just too lazy to sort through 10 pages of GIFs and inside jokes to try to figure out WTF is going on.

It's the GIFs. I lack the patience to scroll through them all.

What happened?
It's SO dumb. The recap won't be as fun as the event. Basically, a CEPer with a grudge for cjoy accused her of abusing her mod powers when she C&P'd a (public) post from Starting Over. The SO post was deleted 20 mins later, and cjoy left her post up. This happened Friday. For whatever reason, it became a big fucking deal yesterday. cjoy's post was never reported or anything, and was very typical C&P stuff. I can understand why people think she should have deleted her C&P, but it had nothing to do with her mod powers, nor was her post ever reported. Cue 300-response post on CEP, 200 response post on ML, and 150 response post on the mod board. MM was oblivious :-p
Apparently this is flameworthy. I don't think boys should wear girl clothes, make-up, etc.
Shocking.
Do you think that girls should be able to wear traditionally boy clothes -- pants, button-downs, jeans, jackets...? Is it acceptable for a girl to have short hair or like the color blue?

I thought something last night as I watched the news. The Navy Seal (The Shooter) who is down on his luck. And my thought is: you couldn't stick it out for another three years in a desk job to secure a 50% pension for the rest of your life? Seriously?

I think there is more wiggle room for girls. So, yes to all of those things.

I don't think it was actually about a grudge. I think it was the fact that a moderator who had the power to delete a post that was reported for containing personal info chose to C&P said post. People would have been upset if it had been anybody.

There's definitely a grudge. And whether it contained personal enough info for another board's mod to step in is still up for debate.

Soozy, why is it cool for girls to wear "boy" clothes, but not vice versa?

No one said she should have stepped in. She was accused of clicking on the post when the admin box popped up and then sharing it.
Now I am backing away before I suddenly become Pixy. It's a slippery slope yo.

DH was like, wow, this dude's a real life Rambo! Anyway, I don't know about ML or SO drama, I'm too concerned about my bank accounts and budgeting. I like it that way.
