We had our follow up consult with the RE. I'm furious.
We reviewed MH's situation briefly and then moved onto my blood/hsg results.
HSG was fine.
I received a call from her nurse after my blood test results came in (1/8) that "the doctor's only concern is with your Vitamin D level."
I'm sitting in her office and she tells me that my blood test results were interesting. My FSH was high at 12 and my AMH was low at 0.6 (I think it was either 0.6 or 0.06). She dx me with diminished ovarian reserve and said that from a fertility standpoint, I'm akin to a 41 year old woman (I'm 31) according to her chart. She said we don't have much time (like don't even have a year) and need to be very aggressive. This comment really set me over the top. I had my blood drawn in December. Her nurse called to tell me to take a greater dose of Vitamin D in early January. The RE specifically told MH not to schedule a follow up until after he saw the urologist (1/25). We called on 1/25 to schedule and saw her today.
I was floored. I have regular cycles 28-31 days and showed ovulation when I was using opks and charted. I didn't have a positive feeling about her when we first met her and this just sealed the deal. I'm sorry, but if time is of the essence, why wasn't something said sooner and why wasn't there a push to get us into the office sooner than this.
She was wishy washy on protoccol and where to start iui or ivf other than fertility drugs would be necessary - but not this is what we'd try first, etc. The best was she looked confused when we told her we don't have IVF coverage (MH's insurance is self funded). She couldn't give us estimates of costs, we have to call another office and talk to the finance department for that information (You can't pick up the phone while we're in your office to get us some answers).
OMG I'm sorry you are having to go through this! I know some REs in my area offer a free second opinion consult if you bring paperwork from your current doctor. Maybe that would be an option for you? (((hug)))

Oh Bonsoir, I'm so so sorry about this for you. The last thing you need is an RE like that who is messing you around. I hope the second opinion helps to formulate a plan for you. I really can't believe they wasted a month of your time then said you need to rush thing. wtf

I am so sorry, I have been catching some of your posts here and there and I really feel for you, what an ordeal. Hopefully the second opinion will be better!
I'm so, so sorry Bonsoir. I hope your new RE can give you a little better guidance.
I have been dissatisfied with my RE too, and I think it's really important to get treatment from someone you believe in, and trust. If you aren't happy with your RE, find another. Mental health, if nothing else.
