Hey ladies - what's going on? Any plans for Valentines? Did you get DH anything? Did you celebrate Mardi Gras (or as ML taught me it is also called Paczki Day? Are you doing Ash Wednesday fasting?
Hubs sent me flowers at the office today. Made all the little old ladies swoon. Tomorrow's surgery day so DH will be picking up dinner while I sleep all day/night.

We had pancakes with lemon and sugar for dinner yesterday - not sure if that is traditional anywhere except the UK? DH didn't know about it until I introduced him. Our pancakes are more like crepes than American breakfast pancakes.
I'm going to buy DH some chocolate for Valentines and I got him a card already. We are going away for the weekend so that is how we will celebrate Valentine's day.
Well tomorrow is my birthday h took the rest of the week off so we could do something fun for it. We may go to dinner tomorrow, but I hate the crowdedness every where do I try to pick something not as popular.
I haven't gotten H anything yet, but today's my day off so I'm going out to find him something.
Our big plans are to go backpacking/camping this weekend! I'm super excited about it!

We never do VD and while DH is officially Catholic, we really don't do anything with that either, except with funerals/memorial services. We're going in tomorrow morning for DH's SA. So that's nice and romantic... not...

No special VDay plans, I'm home so I'm cooking (usually DH does) but just making chicken pot pie. I got him a card and some peanut butter filled pretzels. We never do anything big. I'm guessing there will be at least a little alcohol consumption also.
I forgot it is Ash Wednesday, oops. We are Catholic but not very active.

Cheesecake, we are also doing DH's SA tomorrow morning! Fun times in our households...
We don't really do the Ash Wednesday thing, but we did have blueberry pancakes for dinner last night. They were SO good. Yesterday we went to the local butcher to get our V-Day dinner. They do a special package...bacon wrapped filet mignon and baked potatoes. I can't wait! DH got me roses yesterday and all I really ask for is a card, so I'm happy.

Similar here too, expect I'm getting all the action. We have our first appointment with the RE tomorrow, including the ever fun, dildo-cam.
We don't have v-day or Mardi Gras plans and aren't religious, so no Ash Wednesday fasting. I haven't really even thought about a gift for H. Maybe I will get him a card and some candy, if I am not feeling super lazy!

I guess I should answer my own questions! We didn't do anything special for Mardi Gras and I didn't do Ash Wednesday this year. Tomorrow night we are doing a special dinner at home. We had a moment of insanity in Central Market and bought ridiculously expensive filets and wine, so we are going to have those. I am looking forward to it!
