Where can I find cherry syrup?

I want to make cherry ice cream and the recipe calls for cherry syrup. Anyone know where I could find this. Looked all over the grocery store with no luck.

How much syrup? If it's not a lot, I'd buy a can of cherry pie filling and use the syrup from that. And then a cherry pie or cheesecake (and use the cherry pie filling as a topping )

What about those coffee syrups, like Torani? They might have a cherry flavored one.

What about grenadine that is used for Shirley Temples? You can usually find it in the store on the same aisle with other mixers like club soda and tonic water.

I don't know where to buy it but the restaurant I work at uses Trader Vics cherry syrup and it's the best quality, much thicker and more natural tasting than grenadine.

an Italian store might have it. Grenadine is pomegranate not cherry.

I normally find cherry syrup in little bottles in the area where alcohol mixers are - this might be a local thing though.
