Gilbert is probably about 12-13 years old and has arthritis in his back legs/hips. He is on medication and gets around fairly well most days but the issue is that we have hardwoods throughout most of the house and he keeps slipping and because of the weakness in his legs, hips he keeps splaying on the floor. I then believe this makes him feel worse from pulled/strained muscles.
We do have area rugs and carpet runners but still have many wood areas.
We have tried booties and socks with grippy things on the bottom but he doesn't like them and he'll bite at them or as soon as he scratches, they come off or have to be changed every time he goes out. I found these www.puppylovepawpads.com/ online and they are wonderful! They really help him keep his grip and they don't bother him but the problem is they don't stay on that long either. I googled human grade adhesive but didn't come up with anything realistic. I would love to find something to help them stay on because they really are the best solution for him.
