It was a slow month for me; I finished: A Company of Swans -- Eva Ibbotson The Restaurant at the End of the Universe -- Douglas Adams
I began: Waiting for Gertrude -- Bill Richardson Wuthering Heights -- Emily Bronte Murder on the Eiffel Tower -- Claude Izner Life, the Universe, and Everything -- Douglas Adams
I grew up in Johnstown. I may have to check this one out.
I grew up and now live not that far from there. I think I definitely enjoyed the book more for knowing the area well. It's good on audio-- Edward Hermann (aka Grandpa Gilmore from GG) reads it.

I will have to see if my library has an audio copy. Though I know (or think I know) the history pretty well, it would be interesting to hear the story again. Thanks for the info!

Umberto Eco is such a hard author to read, imo. I read Foucault's Pendulum a couple years ago and, boy, was it hard to get thru, even if the story was fascinating.
I mean, when the author cites Joyce as one of those who has most influenced his work, you know you (the reader) are in trouble.
