Update on me - for anyone who remembers me

Back again. I got a job! It's a desk job, Mon-Fri 8am-5pm, and pays $12/hour. I'm ecstatic! My H was also offered 2 promotions in the last month that will increase his pay to around $11/hour. 

I just wanted to come back again and thank all the posters who told me that it was okay for me to hold out for a little while to find something that was more than minimum wage, so thank you!

No I'm not that one. I was the one on food stamps with a SeaWorld pass (which, BTW, we canceled! LOL).

Congratulations! That sounds like a great fit for you and your husband! I'm really happy for you and hope this is a new beginning for you all. (Also, I'm surprised you cancelled the Seaworld pass---I know I was one of the ppl that told you too, but wow, you really are dedicated to this and turning your finances around).

I hate admitting this but I was in the mindset of "I'm working hard in life so I DESERVE a SeaWorld pass" which was completely ridiculous. The government had to buy our groceries. I didn't deserve anything! We are more fortunate than most because of the fact that we can go to Disney anytime we want. (We went 4 times last week alone.)

I really appreciate every piece of advice I got on my post. And I thank you all for the congrats! I'm going to go back to my lurking now.
