Old dog suddenly has a huge appetite.

He had normal bloodwork 6 weeks ago. Tonight, for instance, he ate 3 times his normal amount. He's not gaining weight. Thoughts? I'm going to call his vet on Monday, but I'm really worried.

Certainly any major change would warrant a vet visit. I'm curious as to how the dog was able to eat 3x the amount of food. Do you free feed a huge amount?
