I can link up the tutorial i used later! On my phone now. I think it is a great dresser! First step is to sand that puppy down. I used a spray primer and then SW proclassic paint in satin. Then a spray sealer. I did 2 coats primer, 2 coats paint.

Thanks! Tutorial would be helpful. I've been needing a project lately, so this will be perfect.
PS: have you been to Good Ju Ju? If not, you totally need to. They have so much adorable stuff, I wanted to buy it all. It's one weekend a month, but I'm def. going back next month to pick up a nightstand. And very MM too!
here is the tutorial I used, I did everything BUT use the floetrol. From using the same paint on our kitchen cabinets 3 years ago I knew it would be fine.
and i hate to tell you- but those framed pics above the crib on the wall WILL be ripped down by baby much sooner than you'd ever expect... i learned that with DS1.

Do you know that age of the piece? If its "vintage" enough I might be concerned about lead paint and sanding. Even if its not lead paint, be sure to wear a dust mask when you're sanding.
If its a super-glossy paint, you may find that the easiest way to get it off is to have your husband use a chemical stripper. I had to use one to get off paint that had a polyurethane top coat.
Not sure if you've already started working on this but I've painted and refinished a lot of furniture if you have specific questions. Are you going to strip off the blue or paint over it?
I agree it would look good painted white. Have you seen the hand painted/hand made knobs on Etsy?
I would do white with some fun knobs. It will be easier to switch it up later if that color. I almost bought that color line for a quilt the other night. I have a bunch of it in another color stashed. It's a nice fabric.
I really like the idea of white or charcoal with fun red knobs! We just ordered a charcoal glider, so maybe I'll go white.
I'm excited to have a project to do, finally. Everything else around the house involves either getting up on ladders or crawling into small spaces, neither of which DH is keen on me doing right now. Boo.
